STATEMENT

My work occupies an unstable territory between drawing and illustration. I am interested in inhabiting that tension rather than resolving it, using drawing not as a narrative medium but as a space where images emerge through uncertainty. I do not begin with preconceived scenes; I draw in order to discover images that remain partially unknown to me and reveal themselves through the process itself.

I work without preliminary sketches and complete each drawing in a single session. The line advances through searching, hesitation, and correction; the image is constructed as the record of a perceptual state rather than as a representation. I use inks and fluids that spread, repel, and interact unpredictably, generating unstable fields in which figures and spaces emerge and dissolve. I seek to sustain that ambiguity between the recognizable and the uncertain.

Over time, recurring forms appear—architectures, bodies, animals, structures—which I revisit as a vocabulary in constant transformation. Repetition does not fix meaning; rather, it allows me to approach the same question from different angles: how to make an internal experience visible without closing it into a definitive form.

The small scale and concentrated duration of the work sustain an intimate relationship with the image. In a context saturated with explicit visuality, I aim to create zones of perceptual suspension. Working through line and minimal means is a deliberate choice: to affirm drawing as an autonomous field within contemporary art, where the image neither narrates nor illustrates, but remains in a state of emergence.
